TIMS DICOM 3.2

Among the new features in v3.2 are:

TIMS DICOM 3.1.7400

TIMS version 3.1.7400 is a new upgrade available for all TIMS DICOM System and TIMS DICOM Review Software (TDRS) users currently on TIMS version 3.0 and higher. The upgrades are available to all TIMS users with version 3.0 and higher and is available for download by all users with current TIMS Support & Maintenance contracts. TIMS DICOM 3.1

The TIMS DICOM System version 3.1 adds several new and powerful features and workflow items to enhance the TIMS user experience. These features are focused on the speech pathology and endoscopy markets. Version 3.1 is available for TIMS systems running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit operating system only. Below is a list of the main features introduced with TIMS version 3.1:

Major New Features:

  • User rights operation: allows any Windows user to run TIMS or TDRS.
  • TIMS DICOM Receive Service: This is a separate Windows service that provides the capability to receive https://tims.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/dicomreceiveservice.pngDICOM studies even when the user is logged out or the computer is locked. Studies are received by the service and then “swept” into TIMS or TDRS when the user starts the application. This is especially useful in speech pathology applications where the TDRS system is in the speech pathology office or lab and may be locked or logged off when a study is sent to it from the fluoroscopy suite.
  • Advanced Viewer Improvements: Workflow: new button layout, toggle for play/pause, zoom to view button, and more.
  • View setting to pre-load video, not pre-load video for playback.
  • Archive to Network improvements: navigation to subfolders and creation of new folders.
  • Edit study icon in toolbar and in the Edit Menu so the user can edit an open study. Previously, had to do this by going to the Open Study list first.

More Features

  • Allow Mark View to Send while in Amend Descriptions mode prior to save.
  • Increase maximum number of Views across from 8 to 10.
  • Preference change for New Study setting from “Open max views on new study” to “Open # of views on new study”. Setting from 1-10.
  • Change Send Study keyboard short cut from F2 to Ctrl + F2. Changed so cannot accidentally Save Study while using F3 while editing
  • Overlay display of Series Description improved in Advanced Viewer.
  • Edit study issues resolved when using SC or OT channel with GE Centricity.
  • Quick Reference Card changed to show keyboard shortcuts. Also, included on Desktop upon install.
  • ESC now cancels out of Channel Configuration dialog.
  • Pop-up messages regarding DICOM sends if failures are in DSS.
  • Better, more random UID generation.
  • Updated user manuals to reflect v3.1 changes. Added scheduled maintenance information.

TIMS DICOM 3.0

The TIMS DICOM System version 3.0 features a brand new, more powerful computer platform running on the Windows 7 Professional 64 bit operating system. TIMS v3.0 also includes a number of increased features and workflow improvements to improve the productivity of speech pathologists, endoscopy users, and other DICOM connectivity users of the TIMS DICOM System. Some of these improvements include: DVI-D video inputs, PDF attachments as DICOM, improved frame range editing, folder name generator for archiving, and much more. Below is a detailed list of some of the TIMS v3.0 improvements:

  • Added Preference to show study frame count rather than per-file frame count in status bar of Advanced Viewer
  • Added Preference to “Restore Default Channel After Editing”. Useful at hospitals with GE Centricity versions before v3.3 since they do not accept compressed studies unless they are SC or US DICOM classes.

TIMS DICOM 2.5

TIMS DICOM System version 2.5 is a powerful new upgrade for the Windows XP based TIMS DICOM System. All TIMS users on current Support & Maintenance contracts are entitled to this electronic software upgrade for their system. Contact your TIMS sales representative for further information.

TIMS DICOM 2.4

The TIMS v2.4 software release is our most comprehensive and advanced new software release. It provides several new features and capabilities designed to improve your workflow and productivity, especially for those in speech pathology and endoscopy applications. Please see below for the details on the release as well as links to video descriptions and demonstrations of the new features.

Major New Features:

  • Simple method to edit or add Series Descriptions to a saved study (Amend Descriptions)
  • Edit or add to a saved study
  • Set up & use custom Series Description themes/lists. For example, a set (or “themes”) of custom Series Description entries for each speech pathologist or radiologist.
  • Simple method for adding a new Series with audio comments or dictations as DICOM audio
  • Quickly & easily change the frame rate (i.e. 30 fps to 15 fps) from the Preview window (rather than need separate channels)
  • Send Marked Views icon for quick DICOM send of parts of a study
  • Improved frame range editing: synced audio editing & movable frame range edit point markers
  • Quick method to do a single frame DICOM send
  • New stand-alone Viewer for use with Windows 7 and no Admin user constraints

Windows Print Improvements (mostly for endoscopy)

  • Ability to print Series Description contents instead of Series number only

  • Fluoro-TRACE: save Text Annotations list for quick & easy insertion on live video

Long Study Recording

  • Configurable limits for View frame capture length & full study frame capture length. Once configurable limit is reached, study is saved, then a new study is created using New Study Based On feature so that study can be continued immediately.
  • Default stream capture duration setting. Excellent for recording clinical studies from VCR tapes.

Archiving

  • Configure CD/DVD volume labels
  • Confidentiality warning when archiving to media

TIMS DICOM 2.3
