Swallow 360 & MBS Bootcamp

Swallow 360

Swallow 360 is an immersive training developed to ensure that attendees leave with comprehensive skills in flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). This course includes hands-on learning opportunities including a minimum of 15 passes with exposure to normal swallow function as well as swallowing impairments. Additionally, this event provides exposure to multiple equipment options, surface electromyography (sEMG), and more. Attendees will gain a 360 perspective of swallowing as education deep dives into FEES while also incorporating crucial information regarding the modified barium swallow study (MBSS).

This course is taught by Dr. Humbert, Dr. Stockdale, and Dr. Benigas - experts in swallowing and swallowing disorders with a shared passion for improving educational opportunities and critical thinking.

MBS Bootcamp

MBS Bootcamp is an optional portion of the Swallow 360 course that offers experiential learning developed to empower and prepare attendees for real-world clinical scenarios. Clinicians will conduct and analyze MBS studies with a focus on the importance of incorporating anatomy and physiology into decision-making. Feedback and education from Dr. Humbert will be provided throughout the event. Additionally, clinicians will leave with an improved understanding regarding the implementation of real-time collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, as well as education and counseling for patients. Registration includes access to online STEP content.
